Psalm of Love

Tell me not, in hateful ways
Love is an intricate frame
For hate is useless, watch what you say
Hurting feelings is not a game

Love is real! Love is pure!
In vain and in boastful measures is not it’s goal
In sincerity and selflessness I’m sure,
We love because God loves our soul.

Not bliss and not sorrow
Is the path we are promised
But to act, that each tomorrow
Will find us with love that is still honest

Our days are short but love is solid
Love is beautiful like an ocean with no end
The colors of truth and purity as the sun is falling
Love is this: constant, a tree firm in the ground. It does not bend

For love is not just something between a wife and man
But to strangers, neighbors and the poor child
Loving all the time sometimes can be hard, but you can
Be sincere in your ways let’s not be mild

Let us, then, be up and selfless
With a heart that simply loves on others
Be God’s heart to those who are unknowingly blessed
Let’s live love to our God-given sisters and brothers.
